Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum

Named for its 9 spices: Allspice, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Pepper, Ginger, Nutmeg, Clove, Mace and Juniper Berry and blended with Cruzan, St. Croix finest Rum. Creates a bold spirit that is prefect neat or on the rocks.


Recipes

Spiced Apple Cider

  • 1.5 parts Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
  • 1 part Simple Syrup
  • .75 parts Fresh-Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1 part Fresh Cider
  • Fresh-grated cinnamon (on top)

Winter Reprieve

  • 1.5 parts Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
  • .5 part Agave Nectar
  • .75 part Pink Grapefruit Juice
  • .5 parts Hot Water
  • Grapefruit Twist
  • Cinnamon
  • Combine all ingredients in a coffee mug and stir to combine. Garnish with a grapefruit twist and a dash of cinnamon.

Holiday Punch

  • 2 parts Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
  • 3 parts Blood Orange Soda
  • 1 part Orange juice
  • 2 parts pomegranate juice
  • 2 parts club soda
  • Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl and stir for 30 seconds. Serve over ice with a blood orange slice for garnish.

Car #9

  • 1.5 parts Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
  • .75 part Orange Curacao
  • .75 part Fresh Orange Juice
  • 2 parts Fresh Lemon Sour
  • Shake all with ice and strain into a chilled cinnamon sugar rimmed cocktail glass. Garnish with a flamed orange peel.

9 & Ginger

  • 1.5 parts Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
  • 6 parts Ginger Beer (or Ginger Ale)
  • Mix all together and serve chilled.

Hot Buttered Spiced Rum

  • 1.5 parts Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
  • 2 heaping spoons batter (recipe to follow)
  • Hot water

Batter Mix:

  • 1 lbs. brown sugar
  • .5 lbs. salted butter (softened)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • .5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • Pinch of ground clove
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fill coffee mug 3/4 full with hot water. Stir in batter until dissolved. Add rum and serve with a stir stick.
  • Batter: In a mixing bowl blend all ingredients together with a hand mixer. Store at room temperature. For a buttered pumpkin batter, simply add pumpkin pie puree to taste (about 1 small can) to batter mix and blend thoroughly.
