Stone Pataskala Red X IPA has returned!
A Massively Dry-Hopped Deep Crimson IPA
A redder shade of IPA
"Pat-ASK-ala? Pata-SKALA? Pa-TASK-a-la? While those in the know favor the third pronunciation, no matter how you say it, this is a unique red IPA. The beer was first brewed in September 2015 to support music and arts education programs in Pataskala, Ohio, where Stone co-founder Greg Koch grew up. People there loved it, so we added the beer to our seasonal lineup, and the Pataskala name stuck. The crimson hue is courtesy of a special German malt variety by BESTMALZ® called Red X. Appearances, however, only tell so much. Heavily dry-hopped with Mosaic, Cascade and Amarillo hops, the beer is incredibly citrus-forward, rounded out with notes of biscuit and toffee from the malt bill. The result is evocative of red IPAs yet different. And as luck — or perhaps skill is more the appropriate word, to give our brewing team their due — would have it, it’s quite wonderful. We think you’ll find this unusual red IPA to be quite deliciously satisfying, no matter how you choose to pronounce it."
Whitsun from Arcadia has arrived!
"Brewed in the style of a mid-19th century English Festival Ale, this unfiltered wheat beer displays a translucent orange color topped with a creamy, white head. Wheat enhances the mouthfeel of the beer and produces pleasant bread-like notes while Michigan honey provides a caramelized sweetness in the flavor profile. This beer is spiced with orange peel and coriander and small amounts of three hop varieties pleasantly counterbalances the sweetness."
Food Pairings: Grilled whitefish, salads with oranges and nuts, Cantonese cuisine, sushi, cranberry muffins, goat cheese.

O'Hara's - Barrel Aged Leann Follain
"Where the essence of select whiskey barrels combines with O’Hara’s award winning beers.
In 2012, we embarked on a new series of beers, barrel aging our beers in select whiskey barrels that we felt would match and balance well with any one of O’Hara’s beers.
Awards / accolades for our highly acclaimed Barrel Aged Leann Folláin include Trophy winner at the Irish Whiskey Awards 2015 (October), Concours M Biere Pierre Celis Platinum Medal winner at Mondial de la Bière 2014 in France and Gold Medal winner at the Irish Whiskey Awards 2014.
The fifth edition of our O’Hara’s Barrel Aged Series introduces our new cork and cage bottling for bottle conditioned beer, which allows fermentation to occur inside the bottle.
To craft this beer we fill casks which were previously used for Irish Whiskey with our full bodied and rich O’Hara’s Leann Folláin Extra Irish Stout. The stout is aged in oak Irish Whiskey barrels where it picks up the flavours of whiskey and oak cask. After aging we then bottle condition the beer to give a gentle carbonation, bringing out the best of both the stout and the whiskey."

ASSERTIVE TROPICAL HOPS BALANCED BY COMPLEX MALT GIVE THIS IPA A BIG PERSONALITY WITH A DRY FINISH.

The next installment of the Bruery's Terreux series in in:
"Welcome to Frucht, our land of fruited Berliner Weisse-style beers. Known for a tart flavor profile and traditionally low ABV, our German-style wheat beer gains even more funky notes and natural earthy-woodiness from fermentation in one of our twin oak foeder vessels – the largest known to be fabricated in this country. Each installment in the series features a new fruit, or Frucht, if we’re Sprechen sie Deutsch. This installment has boysenberries added."

Two new ones from The Bruery:
Monastic breweries wrote the book on complex ales that weave notes of dark fruits, spices, caramelized character and warmth into each sip. The Order summons that tradition and adds local inspiration. Our darkening, Belgian-inspired abbey ale features dark-fruited character from dates, Belgian-style sugars and subtle spicing from coriander, which compliments the Belgian yeast esters.
Bacon-wrapped dates, Humboldt Fog cheese, sausage and kale lentil soup, bread pudding. A bite of housemade spiced granola mix and fresh fruit from the garden.

RAIN IN BLOOD
Orange Pale Ale
"Our tribute to the late Jeff Hanneman and the greatest band of all time, Slayer. This pale ale is brewed with fresh blood oranges and blood orange juice that is hand squeezed at the brewery. It should be enjoyed fresh and paired with delicious heavy metal. SLAYER!"
A new sour from Jolly Pumpkin has landed:
"Sour, barrel-aged version of the beer by the same name. Brewed in collaboration with Maui brewing.
Yes, Michigan and Hawaii are connected. It should be obvious to you now, as you hold this beer, and read this label. John and I designed this beer with two noble fruits from two noble states, Michigan & Hawaii. Cherries and liliko’i. Starting to see the connection? I feel it. So does John. 4391 miles may separate our breweries, but no our thirst for the exquisite. Hipa! -Ron
Working with Ron is something I’ve always want to do since I had my first Jolly Pumpkin beer. Years later, it’s a reality. Being involved on this project was an honor and a privilege. Mahalo to my MBC crew and to you, fans of craft beer! -John"

Short's S'more Stout is in!
"S’more Stout is a complex stout brewed with graham cracker, milk chocolate, marshmallow, and smoked malt. The rich hearty sensations each take their turn, starting with the subtle graham aromas, and leading pleasantly into the sweet flavors of marshmallow cream and milk chocolate. All of these flavors are followed by a slight lingering flavor of smoke. A flaming marshmallow garnish is strongly encouraged."
